Matrescence doula 1:1 support
Prenatal and postpartum matrescence education and personalized support for the transition to mother and beyond.
What’s a matrescence doula?
As a matrescence doula I offer support for the transition from woman to mother that complements care from doctors, midwives, doulas and therapists, but adds a vital missing element: complete focus on the woman’s transition to motherhood, including what matrescence is, how it can feel, and the proven ways to support yourself through it for a more easeful transition to motherhood and a more empowering experience of it.
If the word or concept of matrescence is new to you, rest assured you aren’t alone. This emerging concept is a powerful new frontier in maternal wellness that I am honored to share and support.

ABOUT Kate
mother of two, matrescence guide & certified birth story listener
My guidance and space holding centers on you and your truth, no matter what motherhood looks like for you or how you come to it.
I bring learnings from a range of coursework, life experiences, self work, and support groups, including wisdom from my own matrescence, studies with Birth Story Medicine, personal experiences in traumatic birth and postpartum suffering, as well as the feminine experience I’ve witnessed in others through mother’s groups, women’s circles, and friendships.
