the story of your birth
A keepsake story of your pregnancy and birth to honor your experience and pass down through the generations
Your birth story, your words, no writing required
Whether your birth story lives in your mind, your body or your phone, over the course of two connective weeks, we’ll unpack everything that happened — the powerful, the shattering, whatever is true for you — all of it via convenient voice memos.
You’ll receive prompts from me to help you reflect and as you move through all the ways you felt, all the things that happened and the insights or shifts that came from your birth experience, I’m taking diligent notes, listening deeply and finding the narrative of your unique story.
At the end of our two weeks of connection and sharing, you’ll feel lighter and know that your story will forever be documented as I craft the narrative into a keepsake story of your birth.

FAQs
What is a birth story keepsake?
The keepsake is part confidential story sharing — a place to tell and reflect on your birth in the safe company of a matrescence guide — and part written keepsake of the story you share with me there. It’s a guided 1:1 process of sharing and connecting through voice memos that culminates in me writing your story for you into a beautiful keepsake that can be passed down through the generations.
what if i didn’t give birth to my child?
We can still document your story of motherhood, however you came to it. Inquire for details. I would love to help you honor your experience.
how does voice memo sharing work?
I find that voice memo story sharing is convenient for most people these days, and especially moms who may be pushing a stroller or making dinner while relaying their story. Voice memos also let me hear the emotions in your story. The beauty of voice memo-ing is you are welcome to share whenever you feel called 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so the work easily fits into your life.
how quickly will you respond?
You are welcome to share your story with me whenever you have time and space, 24/7. You can expect responses and further prompting from me Monday-Friday, and I respond to messages within 24 hours, but typically much sooner.
Will I get to review my story?
When your story is written, I will send it to you to review and edit as you see fit before I design and print it.
Will my keepsake be printed and mailed to me?
Yes! Every birth story keepsake includes a digital PDF and a printed physical keepsake that can be mailed to you within the U.S.
WHY IS THERE A WAITLIST?
The waitlist is your way of signing up to have you story documented during the next opening in my schedule. I offer Birth Story Keepsakes twice a year — once in the spring, once in the fall. Documenting birth stories is beautiful, powerful work that I am honored to be trusted with. Most stories are around 2500 words long, so I’m only able to offer them in a very limited capacity (between two and five stories a year).
